The Biblical Aspect of Isaac’s Life is the second volume of a series of books written by Pastors Ike and Queen Ozuome on the biblical aspect of the life of various prominent characters in the Bible. The focus of this volume is on the life of the second major Hebrew patriarch, Isaac, a man who, like his father, Abraham, and son, Jacob, was just like us in many aspects.
The book explores the life of Isaac from a biblical perspective. It furnishes his background information and profile and analyzes his wise and unwise actions within the biblical context and in terms of contemporary understanding of a Christian life. Like the first and second volumes, this volume is also a collection of information from various commentaries on Isaac’s life, designed to aid today’s Christians have a better understanding of how God interacts with His people.
Sometimes we are caught up in our daily living and forget that being a Christian is not easy; it is a lifestyle; it is work. But just as everything written in the scriptures was written to teach us, in order that we might have hope through the patience and encouragement which the scriptures give us (Romans 15:4), so everything written in this book is written to provide valuable lessons for the contemporary Christian in applying God’s truth to his or her life and avoid repeating the errors of the past.
Our intention in writing the book is to lay bare the facts as we understand from the scriptures with some inferences so that, today, Christians can draw valuable lessons from those who worked with God before them.
The overall objective, however, is to try and help the Christian who is struggling in his or her walk with Christ to discover the basic ingredients of a vital, growing relationship with God and to apply them in his or her own life. He or she will understand how to model his or her personal skills after a biblical character and precepts.
